Our 22month old is talking up quite a storm! Not sentences or anything, but he definitely communicates. He two new favorites are "Wha dat" and "Who dat" - which is Luke speak for what is that and who is that. He also loves to say thay is - short for there it is. He is also obessessed with saying butterfly which actually comes out as blyfly. I have no idea where picked up that word. Much to Rich's immense pleasure he says pootball! every time he sees the Redskins helmet or the VT symbol. He has a VT football that he takes with him everywhere and even sleeps with. My intense fear is that he is going to want to play football. He is still obsessed with golf, but it is hard when the weather is this cold for him to practice.
He also loves ChoChoos. His favorite pasttime (besides playing football and golf) and is going to Barnes and Noble and playing with the trains there. He has also started to recognize letter and numbers. He can identify the number 2 - that is because we have taught him that he is going to be two in January. He also knows the letter M and the letter P and B. Totally random letters, I know.
He also is saying Tha too - thank you - impromptu which makes us happy. However, he uses it in the place of please as well. For example, instead of more please, more than too. We will take it for now.
He loves watching Shrek the Hall, the Shrek Christmas movie. He wants to watch it all the time if we let him. His favorite is Donkey. He laughs and laughs when Donkey makes a joke. Not sure if he understands what he is saying, but it is very cute. I have been telling him about Christmas and am very excited to celebrate the holiday with my little boy!
