Luke's baptism was this past weekend. Since he was being baptized along with 11 other babies, let me you, the church was packed. Actually, the babies behaved extremely well. There were no breakdowns - the adults were the noisy ones. Despite the number of babies there, the whole process ran very smoothly and efficently.
After the baptism, my parents hosted a brunch for both families. Luke wore his cute brunch outfit that his godparents, Swetha and Jeff, got him. He was excited and curious about all the people that he stayed awake almost the entire time. The poor little guy was so tired that he slept 7 hours that night.
At the end of August, we are planning on have Indian ceremony
for him. Usually it is to commemorate the baby's introduction to solid foods and since he would have just started eating solids around that time, it will be perfect timing. My cousin from India sent him this really cute Indian Kurtha outfit that will hopefully fit him by then.
We also went bike shopping this past weekend with our friends Christie and Jonathan who were extremely helpful in enabling us to narrow our options. Who knew there were so many types of bikes out there! I think we finally decided on hybrids. Now all we have to do is go out and buy the bikes once we do a bit more research. The sad part was these bikes were presents from Rich's parents back when we first got engaged three years ago and we are finally getting around to buying them.
