Luke playing soccer - sort of

With Santa

With his pumpkins

With his little sister
My little man is almost no longer a toddler. It seems that at 3 years of age, they progress to being called a preschooler. That is incredible to me. He loves his new school new. The transition did not take as long as we expected. The first few weeks were tough as he started his new school at the same time that his sister was born, so the poor little kid went through a lot of change in his little life.
He has adjusted quite well and is such a little trooper. He makes friends really fast. His new crew now consists of Nathan, Nathan, Davis, Marcus, Cooper, Christopher and Emerson. The crazy thing is that he can recognize his friends names when they are written. I was impressed. He can also articulate what happens during the day and tells us about what happened at school during dinner.
His interests are also changing. He loves Jake and the Never Land Pirates. He knows all the words that the characters say and he knows all the words to the songs. He wants to be Jake for Halloween but who knows what his latest passion will be then. One passion that remains is golf. If the weather was nicer, we would be out a lot more, but for now, he practices his putting in the house. His swing is perfected during the spring/summer months. Ialso took him to his first movie in a movie theater - the Lion King. He loved it! He actually sat through the entire movie. He also enjoyed the popcorn and the gummy bears that I let him eat. He keeps asking to go to another movie. It is hard to find one in the theater that is kid appropriate!
He also loves Madagascar - he is the lion, Alex, Elina is the Zebra Marty, Rich, is the Girraffe Melman and I am the hippo Gloria. He makes us act out the characters. It is really cute.
We enrolled him in a soccer class this past fall. Not sure if it was his favorite thing to do. He definitely prefers other sports. He told me that he wanted to do Karate, but then told me two days later that he wants to do Tennis. Oh the fickle mind of a 3yr old. It is going to be interesting to see how he changes over the next year.
